    Israeli Ambassador Alon Ushpiz extends helping hand for Rajasthan
     
    Jaipur: In an interaction with Rajasthan Patrika, Israeli Ambassador Alon Ushpiz along with his diplomats shared some of their projects which Israel is undertaking in the Rajasthan region.
     
    Alon Ushpiz praised the Patrika Group for delivering its outstanding contributions to the society. Alon Ushpiz stated that Israel will provide more support to India in the field of Agriculture, Water management, Energy and Defence especially to the Rajasthan, in the Agricultural sector.
     
    Israel has already setup a Crop Protecting project in Bassi area of Jaipur. He also acknowledged the state initiatives regarding the Dates productivity in Jaisalmer region of Rajasthan, where Israel has taken up the Post- harvest and pollination project to further increase the production of fruit.
     
    Alon Ushpiz also talked about the Olive plantation in the state and said that 78000 Olive tress have been provided to Rajasthan by Israel. While responding to the questions, Alon Ushpiz announced that if any student who is willing to take up some research project in the related field of Agriculture in Israeli institutions, we will provide him all financial support for the period of commencement of the research.
     
    He sated that around 70 students from India are already doing research projects in Israel and we will look to provide more assistance to India in the field of education.Besides, addressing the developmental programmes, Israeli Ambassador also stressed on the issue of terrorism that both the countries are fighting. He called for the need of sharing information regarding security issues.
